Hong Kong Orchid Tree

    The Hong Kong Orchid tree has large and beautiful purple blooms that occur from fall through winter.  It is a great choice if you need a canopy tree to create some shade.  Unlike other trees, the Hong Kong Orchid does not drop any seed pods, saving yourself from cleaning up an unsightly mess or from having to rip up seedlings.  Also, hummingbirds absolutely love to use this tree's flowers as a nectar source.  Here at the nursery, we've seen them happily zooming from flower to flower.
